As far as my opinion of the MTB course, I really enjoyed it and have recommended it to several other women.   I feel like the way it is organized and outlined is very easy to comprehend and very thorough. The course covers so many topics and books and by the time I was done, I also had many handouts and files on different topics created to use in the future.  It is wonderful that the tests are available online and the online Yahoo group is a great idea for those students who want to share and talk with other midwife students. In short, I think the MTB course is an excellent tool to meet the academic standards for midwifery. With its current online options and “old fashioned” reading books in hand, it’s a perfect fit of where midwifery came from and where it seems to be heading.

“I have been in the midwife to be program since 2008 and love it. It is affordable and doable with my busy schedule as a mother of 3, business owner and active apprentice midwife.
Lisa Aman is actively involved as a instructor and I have learned so much.
The program has kept me motivated and I am now in the process of putting all my work I have accomplished into her updated online system, which is going to make my experience even smoother. I love the skill weekends, getting hands on experience, skills signed off, and connecting in person with other students from all over the country is amazing.”
