Welcome to the Midwife Journey!

To get started, please follow these steps:
- Download your Welcome and Information Packet – Unit One
- Request to join the Midwife to Be Facebook group (if you haven’t already).
- Create an account in Moodle. You can find your enrollment code on page 5 in the Welcome and Information Packet above. Most students get in quick and easy, but if you have issues try from a desk top computer and refresh computer if necessary.
- Once you’ve logged in to Moodle, read the Welcome/Information Packet.
- Navigate to Unit 1 and enter your enrollment code to unlock Unit 1
If you are having problems with Moodle accepting the enrollment code, please log out of Moodle and log back in. Then try entering the enrollment code again. Sometimes there seams to be issues with doing from a phone too. If above doesn’t work try restarting computer. For some reason getting into Unit 1 can be tricky then once it its usually no problem. Email me if you get stuck!
Tips:
- I recommend printing off the PDF and putting it in a notebook near your study books. Make sure you have good light and are comfortable if you’re able to have a special work space.
- Keep track of ALL your study/reading/clinical/skill/births/PNV time. You will need study time for Midwife to Be, but if you go on to get CPM, you will need it all! If you don’t have any skills/clinical time at first, just do more book work for each unit on the time sheet as you should get lots as you start going to births and prenatal.
- You don’t have to get all the books once, so don’t get overloaded with that. Check your local library first to see what you can get. Interlibrary loan is good too!
- Get a study partner if you can via my Midwife to Be Facebook group (or local). You can practice skills if you’re local or you can quiz each other and hold each other accountable.
