- Please contact Lisa Aman for a class application. Classes start Friday at noon and end Saturday at 3 p.m. If you are flying in, we can pick you up at Greenville-Spartanburg Airport for $20 each way.
- Note we need minimum of 4 students per class to do. RSVP and prepay ASAP to hold class spot.
- Fees must be prepaid 1 week in advance( 1⁄2 refundable toward future class if no show)
- Summer classes can work to bring family and they can camp at local state park. (you can join them there in PM) Will be set up as needed.
Weekend Class Curriculum:
1. Communication & Charting skills (HIPPA, Safety Skills, Aseptic Tech., Observational skills etc.) Skills Part 1 – General Skills – 34 Total
2. Midwifery (History, Politics, Around The World, Apprentices) Skills Part 2 – Prenatal Period – 47 Total
3. Policies & Procedures (State Laws, Setting up a practice, Taxes etc) Skills Part 3 – Labor & Delivery – 25 Total
4. Well Woman Care (Family planning, Unplanned Pregnancies, Breast Exam, PAP Tests, Emotional issues, Culture Collection etc) Skills Part 4 – Postpartum Period – 13 Total
5. Herbs & Alternative Medicine (Research and Data collection, Alternative med. in Relation to Midwifery, Herbs safety and use etc) Skills Part 5 – The Newborn Period – 21 Total
Week-long Class Curriculum: I will offer two 1 week-long classes. These will run Monday – Friday. We will work on Skills 5 hours a day with group / self study / down time too. Lodging is included, and meals will be divided up like weekend meetings.
• Week-long Skills Class 1 – Skills Part 6 – Advanced Skills – 28 Total
• Week-long Skills Class 2 – Skills Part 7 – Complications – 40
